Steiff Teddy Bears have become synonymous with quality and tradition. Pleasing us for over 130 years, Steiff’s history reads like a fairytale!

Founded by Margarete Steiff, Steiff is the most famous and adored teddy bear and soft toy manufacturer in the world. In Margaret’s early years, she contracted polio but this did not ruin her courage as a young woman. She learned sewing and tailoring and soon became a very skilled seamstress. Beginning with ladies’ and children’s’ clothes, her small business soon diversified… In 1902, nephew Richard Steiff designed the very first jointed teddy bear, which had string jointing. Followed by rod jointed bears and then in 1905 Richard’s perfected bear with the revolutionary disk jointing, which is still used today. Gifted with movement, these bears and their descendants took the world by storm.

My First Steiff Teddy Bear, Pink

Starting with my childhood favourite is a bear from Steiff’s My First Bear collection. With four colours available on our site, there is the perfect bear for any little one. What I love is the soft pink fur, which is perfect for an infant’s first cuddles and naps. For my first few years, I always slept with this teddy by my side. Our My First Teddy Bear measures 10 inches (24cm) and has a black stitched nose, black stitched eyes and smooth pink fur on her paw pads. Stitched into her right paw are the words ‘My First Steiff’. Also available in a gift box set, it’s the perfect companion for a newborn.

To celebrate the new Lion King film (2019), here is our Steiff SIMBA. With Disney and Steiff coming together, you can have your very own little rascal at home! Limited edition of just 1994, Disney and Steiff have made every detail perfect. From the golden blonde mohair to the magnificent muscle with sweet long black whiskers….

Paddington BearTM, Brown

Back with another classic, I present to you the Paddington Bear by Steiff. This one is another childhood memory, but Paddington never falls out of time! Ready for picnics and games, Paddington is the adventurous Steiff bear we have all been missing. Made of cuddly soft brown plush, Paddington Bear wears a brass-plated “Button in Ear” and classic yellow tag. Measuring at 60cm and being 3 way jointed, he is ready for love.

Keyring Panda, Black/White

 This little guy is perfect for when you want somebody with you, but don’t have the room in your bag for a full-size teddy bear! This lovable panda keyring is a 9cm tall soft toy that can go on your keys, bag, anywhere you want. He is made of a cuddly soft black and white plush and is machine washable (if following the correct instructions!).

Fynn Teddy Bear In Suitcase, Beige

This bear was a birthday treat for me after years of loving him and his friends. With all kinds of variations in colours, accessories and suitcases, the Fynn bear is a great collectable. I received a different Flynn bear annually until my shelf was full! It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a collection or one special teddy, Steiff Fynn is a great place to start.
