Merrythought Bears are the last remaining teddy bear manufacturer within the UK. Their teddy bears are all handmade within the UK which makes them highly sought after by collectors and teddy bear lovers across the globe! The company dates back to the 1930s where it began it’s journey in Yorkshire; the word Merrythought is an old word for wishbone – a good luck symbol. The business is run by the Holmes family and is currently on its fourth generation! We’re lucky enough to have a collection of Merrythought Bears available on My Bear Shop and today we’re sharing our favourite five bears with you!

1. Binky Bunny

Binky is a happy looking bunny made from sparse, dove-grey mohair; he’s a trusted companion and his smile could brighten anyone’s day! Henley is a bear with a very classic look and is a new addition to the Merrythought collection! Henley measures 30cm centimetres and is made from super soft rich cream mohair. He’s full jointed and has been sewn with a peachy pink backing which can be seen on his paws. He’s bean-filled for a squidgy realistic feel, and he has a friendly personality which is bound to put a smile on even the most solemn face!

3. Antique Panda

This delightful antique panda is made from a contrasting black and rich cream mohair, combined with wool felt paws and a dashing green satin ribbon. This panda has a classic look and timeless charm about him.
