In the high mountains of Ethiopia lives the Gelada Monkey , the only primate that feeds exclusively on grass. This species is also known as the 'bloody heart monkey', which is clearly visible in this CollectA model, as it has a spot in the center of the chest that is red and is used to attract the opposite sex during the breeding season, but also to convey dominance. Geladas move in a playful, almost comical way while grazing. They communicate with a multitude of sounds that almost resemble human speech. The CollectA model is shown in a highly aggressive stance, with a male showing off his sharp teeth and having his body in an attack position, which amazingly captures the wild spirit of this impressive mountain primate.
