Miller’s hollow is no ordinary village. Monstrous hybrids of man and beast lurk in the shadows of the night, hunting in packs, terrorising the villagers to find a new meal each night. It is this fact that steers traders and adventurers alike, to take the long way round, rather than subject themselves to a horrifying silence of being eliminated. And so, honourable villagers, a vile Witch, an old hunter and a peeping little girl must determine which among you is Werewolf, and which are just friendly residents. You must survive the Werewolves of Miller’s hollow.
At the start of the game, every player is given a card, to secretly tell them their identity. This can be:
A werewolf – Must agree to kill 1 person a night
A villager – The most honourable of upstanding citizens
Depending on how the game is set up: Cupid – Who chooses two people to fall in love
The witch – Who can instantly kill or save 1 person using a potion in the night
Hunter – Who brings someone to the grave with them
Little girl – Has a terrible case of insomnia
The thief – Who never decided his career in life.
The power of the Villagers comes with numbers, as well as these few key roles that vary from game to game. They must determine who amongst them is trying to feast in the night, whilst convincing other’s that you are not the same beast you hunt for. The ultimate party game is all about lying, deceit and betrayal, in a narrative controlled by the overlord. In this game it often comes down to dying by the lynch or being torn apart by the Werewolves of Miller’s hollow.
